ContextVision AB is registered in Sweden and is controlled by its Articles of Association according to the Companies Act in Sweden and Swedish law.
Since 1997, the company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker CONTX and operates under Oslo Stock Exchange rules and regulations. ContextVision complies with all applicable guidelines and procedures stipulated in the Norwegian Code of Practice for Corporate Governance. The deviations are explained in the Corporate Governance report in the Annual Report.

Olof Sandén
Chairman
Olof Sandén (born 1962) works as Partner at TRANSEARCH, an international search company. He has many years of experience from medical device companies in different leadership roles but also from other industries.
Sandén holds a Master’s degree from Chalmers, Gothenburg and ETH, Zurich, as well as an Executive MBA from Columbia, New York. After his studies in Gothenburg and Zurich, Sandén worked at the Boston Consulting Group, first in Munich and later in the Stockholm office. He lived many years in Germany and worked as the Swedish Trade Commissionaire to Germany / Regional Manager Europe at Business Sweden. Sandén then held several senior positions at Elekta, including the role as Executive Vice President. He has also been CEO of RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden, with focus on merging the Swedish research institutes into one national organisation. He has carried out several M&A projects with subsequent integration work.
Sandén is a member of the board since 2021. He has previous board experience from different industries, including research institutes, medical technology, e-commerce, and sports equipment / sports facilities, for private, listed and PE-owned companies. Today he serves on the board of two medical device companies – Micropos and Scandidos – as well as a PE-owned company, Unisport OY.
Sandén holds 18,000 shares in the company.
Martin Hedlund
Martin Hedlund (born 1952) is one of the founders of ContextVision AB. He holds a Master in Electrical Engineering Applied Physics at Linköping University. His Ph.D. studies in image processing were interrupted when he founded the company. As Research & Development Manager and later Site Manager in Linköping, he led a team in building one of the first advanced image analysis high-speed computers, namely the GOP computer.
Between 1999 and mid 2019, Hedlund worked as a CTO focusing on strategic product and business development. Since 2013, he introduced and worked with Artificial Intelligence/ machine learning, leading his team to top-score positions in international competitions within Digital Pathology. He is an inventor of some patents within image processing and machine learning, and has published several research papers.
Hedlund is a member of the Board since the company went public in 1997. He is also a board member of Cytacoat AB, as well as the wholly-owned Yakivu AB and DMGH Consulting.
Martin Hedlund owns 8.566.660 shares (11,07%) in ContextVision and he is also a board member of Cytacoat AB and the wholly owned Yakivu AB and DMGH Consulting.
Martin Ingvar
Martin Ingvar (born 1955) has a background in cognitive neuroscience and is the Barbro and Bernard Osher Professor of Integrative Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. He has lead the MR Research Center for more than two decades.
Ingvar’s present research interest is the formal description of clinical knowledge and quality in clinical care. He has devised new modes for semantic interoperability in information systems, and laid a foundation for patient-centric knowledge building in health care. He has published some 250 research papers and contributed to 15 books. His latest book is on knowledge and AI.
Ingvar is a member of the Board since 2020.
As of October 21, 2021, Ingvar holds 12,000 shares in the company.
Sven Günther-Hanssen
Sven Günther-Hanssen (born 1954) is one of the founders of ContextVision and has previously served as CEO for the company, as well as chairman of the board and board member. He was re-elected to the board in 2011.
Günther-Hanssen has acted as a venture capitalist and been involved in start-up companies in the medical, industrial and financial sectors in the capacity of investor as well as board member. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University.
As of December 1, 2020, Günther-Hanssen owns 8,516,670 shares (11%) in the company.

Gerald Pötzsch
Chief Executive Officer
Gerald Pötzsch joined ContextVision in August 2022 as CEO.
He has many years of professional experience within Medical Technology, with various leadership roles across the globe.
After graduating from RWTH Aachen in Germany, Pötzsch completed two Ph.D. programs in Engineering and Medicine and worked in management consulting. He then spent 16 years with Philips in commercially leading roles in Europe, as Senior Director for Innovation in the CTO office, and as business leader for a global solution business that he established in the US. He has worked within diagnostic and interventional imaging as well as informatics.
Pötzsch’s focus has always been to bridge customer and supplier perspectives into joint business partnerships.
He has board experience from privately owned and PE-owned companies as well as non-profit professional associations within the MedTech industry.
Pötzsch holds 55,000 shares in the company.
Katarina Flood
Chief Service Officer
Katarina Flood joined ContextVision as early as 2003, and holds the position as CSO as of 2022. She has sixteen years’ experience as an Application Engineer, developing and customizing the company’s products worldwide, including several years of expat positions in the U.S.A. and China. She has managed the Application Services team since 2019.
Flood holds a M.Sc. in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering, and a Licentiate of Engineering in Computer Vision from Linköping University.
Richard Hallström
Chief Financial Officer
Richard Hallström joined ContextVision in August 2023 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). HE has long experience in the MedTech sector, with both OEMs and OEM suppliers. He has a proven track record of developing financial strategies and promoting a business mindset throughout organizations, driving increased value for shareholders.
Prior to joining ContextVision, Hallström served as CFO at ScandiNova Systems. Other previous leadership roles include Vice President of Finance and Finance Director at Global Stoneridge Electronics, Tyco Healthcare Norden, and Amgen Nordics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mid Sweden University.
Hallström holds 25,000 shares in the company.
Gunnar Läthén
Chief Technology Officer
Gunnar Läthén joined ContextVision in 2013 and became CTO in 2022. During his career within the company, he has worked actively in research and product development as a research scientist, and more recently as manager of R&D operations.
Läthén’s interests lie in the intersection between image processing, machine learning, software engineering, and driving operational excellence within the medical device field. He holds a Ph.D. in visualization and media technology from Linköping University, and a double M.Sc. in computational science and media technology and engineering.
Ola Lindblad
Chief Sales & Solution Officer
Ola Lindblad joined ContextVision in February 2020 as Vice President of Medical Imaging, became the interim CEO in Feb 2022 and now holds the position as Chief Sales and Solution Officer since Aug 2022.
Lindblad has over 20 years’ experience from the global software industry, working for companies such as IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Boeing. His main focus has been on managing international sales and consulting teams, as well as business development in existing and new regions. Lindblad has a bachelor’s degree from Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law.

Gerald Pötzsch joined ContextVision in August 2022 as CEO.
